Bruce Bekkar, MD

Bruce Bekkar, M.D. is a women’s health physician and international keynote speaker engaged with the climate crisis since 2007. He Chairs the Public Health Advisory Council in San Diego and is a member of ecoAmerica’s Leadership Circle. Bruce has spoken to audiences ranging from the American Meteorological Society to Genentech, England’s Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and members of the California State Senate and the US House of Representatives. He is the lead author of the first large-scale review of birth impacts and climate change in the US, published in JAMA in June 2020.
