Join Us for Climate Week NYC: Explore the Intersection of Health and Climate

This is the first year that Climate Week will feature health as a primary theme and the connection between climate & health has never been more critical. At Climate for Health, we are dedicated to addressing these intersections and empowering communities to take meaningful action. I’m excited to invite you to join us for three compelling events during Climate Week that delve into the urgent issues of health equity, mental health, and climate change. Whether you’re in New York or tuning in online, these events are an opportunity to engage with leaders and advocates in the field.

1. Climate and Health Equity in Action

Date/Time: September 25, 8:00 – 10:00 AM ET (In-person and Virtual)
Location: Brooklyn, NY

We begin our series with a morning discussion at a front-line health center in Brooklyn. This event will bring together national and local health leaders to explore how climate action can address persistent health disparities and advance health equity. As we work towards a more just and sustainable future, this conversation is vital to ensuring that all communities benefit from climate solutions. Register Now

2. Children and Youth Mental Health: Climate Impacts and Action

Date/Time: September 25, 3:00 – 5:00 PM ET (In-person and Virtual)
Location: Manhattan, NY

In the afternoon, we’ll turn our focus to the mental health impacts of climate change on children and youth. This session, held in Manhattan, will feature leading experts discussing ecoAmerica’s latest research on this critical issue. We will explore actionable steps to protect the mental well-being of the next generation, ensuring they have the resilience needed to face a changing climate. Register Now

3. Mental Health & Climate: Climate for Health Ambassador Training

Date/Time: September 27, 1:00 – 4:30 PM ET (Online)

Our final event offers a virtual opportunity for those unable to attend in person. This Climate for Health Ambassador Training will provide you with the tools and knowledge to advocate for mental health in the context of climate change. This training is designed to empower you to make a difference in your community, no matter where you are and is accredited for three units of continuing education for free! Register Now
